Allow the Book Concierge to Find a Book For You

Are you looking for a new book to read? Or a gift for the holidays? Just curious what some of the best books of 2015 were? NPR’s 2015 Book Concierge has you covered. This website collects 260 of the best books according to the NPR staff. You can sort through it by selecting one of 28 different genres and categories or you can read through all of them. You can even combine multiple filters for a more granular search. This isn’t the first year that NPR has released a Book Concierge and this year’s version has links to the 2013 and 2014 versions as well, if you can’t find anything you like from this year’s books.

The Book Concierge is a fun way to find new books or even search for the perfect gift for someone. It is hardly the only such tool in existence; I’ve written before about New York Public Library’s Staff Picks site, which is very similar, but I think this is another nice example for book lovers to check out. It is also a great example for libraries that are considering building a similar site for their own patrons.

I also wanted to mention that this will be my last post of the year; but I plan to be back with more posts starting in January. Have a happy New Year!
