Explore Color With the Color Uncovered App
Earlier this week, I wrote about the Exploratorium‘s Sound Uncovered app and today’s post will cover the Color Uncovered app from the same museum. Much like Sound Uncovered, this app is part app and part interactive book. It combines interactive activities with text that explains the scientific phenomenon behind the exercises. Color Uncovered is a bit different than Sound Uncovered in that users must tap on each page to make it active and not all of the sections include interactive exercises.
But, despite this limitation, users are unlikely to miss the additional interactive elements because this app looks just as professional and impressive as Sound Uncovered. The phenomenon described will likely fascinate users, particularly since so many of them are encountered in daily life. The only activity I questioned was one that required the use of a clear CD case, which might be increasingly difficult to find. This app is perfect for science fans and students alike. Unlike the Sound Uncovered app, it is available for both iOS and Android devices. I highly recommend trying both of these apps!
